If this fight really only did 300,000 ppv buys,Arum should be on his way too Mexico City today. To drink piss, shoot up with Memo, appeal the Bradley decision ,etc.Marquez has become top ranks most profitable fighter,I'd be surprised if Pacquiao were to get a 60/40 split.

The irony is that the tax-free thing is not accurate. It's just a lower tax rate than what they would've paid in the U.S. And on top of that Top Rank is an American company anyway -- so they'd definitely have to pay tax their earnings if they truly paid nothing in China. But if their is tax, which I'm sure there was, but it was just lower than the U.S., they can get away with just paying that low tax.
Tax-free.

HBO isn't in the business to lose money. They paid Pac 18Million, Paid Rios 3 or 4, and Paid Zou at least 1. It definitely wasn't supposed to do thatComment

Pac's hype and popularity are sadly fizzing. Rios is more known and has had more push with the media than Clottey has, and they did lower numbers.
Back when Pac fought Clottey, he was at his height of popularity and still did more numbers selling his own name. People have been losing faith in him for several fights now and it is showing. Arum has tried to squeeze blood out of a turnip and this is the result...you cannot charge what was charged for this fight without a brilliant undercard and a public perceived competitive fight.Last edited by damned1974; 12-05-2013, 12:13 AM.Comment

I hate to sound as if I am hating on Pacquiao, becuase as I really am a fan of his, but these numbers clearly show that Pacquiao is the B side of the equation.
It's time for him to demand Bob Arum get his arse on the phone with Ellerbe or GB and negotiate with the A side of this equation.Comment

We all know that taxes are everywhere but almost half of the US's rate; I always thought tax free was just an expression. Unless there really is a place where taxes aren't paid. Would be new to me.The irony is that the tax-free thing is not accurate. On a positive note, its comforting to know that few idiots payed for this garbage based on the low sells. That should send a message to Bob that he can't continue selling crap.
