Here's why Schaefer is mad & why talking Floyd-Pac is a waste of time

Arum has already decided who Manny is fighting next...and it's not going to be Floyd. All his talk about Mayweather-Pacquiao is a smoke screen. Bob has no intention of doing Mayweather-Pacquiao. His own words betray his true intentions.

"Pacquiao’s much-awaited return to the ring on April 12, 2014 will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Top Rank chief Bob Arum told F****News and the Manila Bulletin. Arum said the identity of Pacquiao’s foe will be known before Christmas. Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez and even Ruslan Provodnikov...are being considered."

"Bob Arum said the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas...will be the venue of his April 12 ring return. Arum told the Bulletin from New York yesterday that the identity of Pacquiao’s opponent will be known “before Christmas” and the candidates are Tim Bradley of the US and Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico or even Ruslan Provodnikov of Russia even if he is also trained by Freddie Roach."

    Context, brother, context.

Arum said the fight can absolutely happen.

Arum, Pac, Roach, and the world KNOWS Floyd doesn't want none.

What good is it to put all your eggs in 1 basket? A basket that ducks and has absolutely no interest in fighting your fighter.

It can happen...just not in April or May. Arum has already made up his mind for April.

Arum just ruled out Mayweather for April/May. Mayweather is not under consideration. Arum said it in his own words.

Don't get why people think that's some type smoking gun. Of course he's going reserve a date regardless of his intentions with Mayweather. Cable dates and venues need to be reserved months ahead of time. If Mayweather fight happens, reservations can be cancel. If it doesn't, the date will still be there.

Arum was always going to try and stand in the way of Pac/May as long as he could.

Arum and Schaefer hate each other and they are always mad at each other. No news here. I don't think the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight will ever happen. Mayweather may be the A side but Pacquiao is still a big star. He won't agree to fight for the small amount Mayweather wants to give him and he won't quit Arum and join Golden Boy.

ROFL....you people do realize that a Pac-May fight would take more than 2-3 months to negotiate

That's why talking about it NOW and hoping for a fight early next year is POINTLESS....

Floyd Mayweather would make it RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT to negotiate a fight.

                The demands would be RIDICULOUS.

So Pacquiao getting booked April 12 doesnt kill a fictional fight that would never happen anyway.

Theoretically if Mayweather was serious about fighting Pacquiao late 2014, he would need 6 months to negotiate a fight with Manny.

His dismissive attitude of Pacquiao and likelihood fighting Khan next is a big clue its not happening.

I'm actually supportive of Floyd's signals here, atleast we finally know he doesnt want the damn fight and we can move on with our lives.

he's not standing in the way of it, believe me. He has zero options for Pacquiao and it would get increasingly hard to give him the purse that Manny demands.

Look at that **** undercard he had to put up for Pac-Rios...
