and that is being generous. Manny is actually only entitled to 15 % if you look at the revenue breakdown. He should get a flat 25 million or a minute percentage. 500,000 buys is proof positive that Manny's star power is on its downhill. IMO a 70/30 or 65/35 would be reasonable, an 80/20 split is crazy if you manny because floyd is fresh out of any big name opponents, he already fought oscar, shane, cotto, canelo, jmm. Manny is the only big name left. Guys like khan, garcia, broner, ortiz 2, etc arent going to bring blockbuster ppv numbers and they will be lucky to do 1.2 mil with those guys.
Manny is the only dude left that floyd could fight that will bring 2 mil plus ppv buys. The talked about hopkins-floyd at 160 is about the only fight that would do 1.5 mil roughly like floyd vs shane, cotto did..
This fight will never get done because floyd wont do business with arum for whatever reason..
And if im manny, i wouldnt accept anything less than 30% because floyd has no other blockbuster options, so i would hold out,,,, but i highly doubt this fight ever gets made
