It was easy to see really. Thompson was his IBF mandatory, Povetkin was the WBA mandatory, and now the WBO get their turn. I believe his next fight is non-mandatory, but then the cycle repeats. It's not all doom and gloom though, at least with Wladimir, you can earn your shot at the title the way you should, i.e becoming the mandatory for it.

WBC won't allow title unification unless they get the upperhand in title fight negotiations. It's just corruption really. Especially so when the IBF belt is on the line, they infamously do not get on.
