He did have very nice boxing skills which are underrated. His jab was like a torpedo and he threw a nice variety of shots. I think if he would have stayed more active, he would have helped the division even though people more or less didn't like him as much.(Guys gotta let go of Drago! ) I think the current crop of HW still suck balls and are not fun to watch. Toney is COOL, he's not that good as a heavyweight. He doesn't carry the knockout power and looks like he just came outta fat burger before every match. He's getting by his opponents based on them being nearly his size and he can outbox them easily. If he faced a huge heavyweight, namely Vitali, he woulda been KOed. Brewster is an odd ball. He looks like a man afraid of everyone prior to KOing Golota and that's about his only great merit. His win over Wlad looked lame. I think HW's are done, period.

    you can't be serious bro.

    TONEY WILL RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BREWSTER IS GOOD. His latest wins are very impressive.

Vitali is none but an ovahyped tall doo. James Toney woulda make him look foolish like a nerdy kid comin to a boxing website!

Vitali was clearly the best of the bunch so his loss was certainly bad for boxing.

then Vitali is a steroid user in olympics AND WAS EXXXXPOSED! He gets too many injuries cuz of steroid usage. HE FAKES SO MANY INJURIES to avoid Rahman.

VITALI made the heavyweight a bad diviosn. he a clown!

I hope he just becomes a professional chess player, or get a GED in AMerica and pursue becomin a Doctor. Or get back in Kickboxing cuz I heard steroid is allowed there.
why da hell would he want to get a ged when he has a phd and is mostly going to become a mayor of a big city in ukraine, ur the idiot that needs to get a ged...

You said Vitali is a garbage, jab aka slap.
His style was awkward and not very pleasant to watch,
                    and yet it was effective.
Gotta accept he was THE threat in the division.
I personally think his boxing ability was underrated...

Now, to the main topic of this thread,
boxing was good WITH vitali up until he backed out of Rahman fight repeatedly..that was just simply annoying.
34 ko's in 36 wins speak for themselves...

Vitali was undeservingly given the Ring title, and was rated by too many as the top fighter in the division despite doing nothing to earn that praise.

He was fighting infrequently, and agaistn poor opposition.

It's definatly better that he's not around anymore to delay things.
