Wladimir would jab his head off. Next.

That hay maker crap doesn't work on Wlad. Not on this version of Wlad.

thing is wilder knows only a single punch - right hand and that's it.

kovalev hits with much more variety. also he looks much more composed and relaxed when he throws his punches while wilder looks like windmill.
throwing hard with a single punch means little when you face remotly skilled and mobile fighter. wilder would get beaten badly by fury. i would favor even price to beat him.

no comparison between him and kovalev. kovalev is levels above.

As some other people have said... Kovalev is a monster.

I think Wilder's power is overrated at the moment as he hasn't really fought anyone worth bothering about.

hard to say just how hard wilder hits. hell,,,even chris byrd probably could have knocked out most of wilders opponents. wilder does seem to deliver his punches with at least good power tho. time will tell if his power is on kovalevs level p4p when he steps up to more durable guys

It's hard to say if he actually hits harder P4P, but he has 10x the boxing skill, and more importantly is far better at getting his power shots to land.

The difference is that Wilder literally swings for the fences every time he throws a punch. Kovalev actually punches properly, which unfortunately isn't the way to throw your most powerful punch. His technique actually restricts him from being as powerful a puncher as he could be, which makes his punching power even more impressive. If Kovalev went around swinging wild, his punches might be just as visually impressive as Wilders. We can't really know.

Wilder has flaws, needs to be tested with durable guys and be chin checked, but he does have this speed and raw power at HW. He's not so heavy but heavy enough that his blows could KO anyone on Earth.

I am not sold on Wilder, but do feel he is exciting and has a great personality for Boxing. Hope he makes it.

Kovalev apparently had one fight go the distance. That guy died later I believe.

Good point but when he has to, he does put a lot of power and throw from far when needed. Like the 2nd KD with Sillakh.
