    I just want to know.

I've never heard of any athlete quitting their sport, without a major, life altering injury.

Sugar Ray had the detached retina. That's completely understandable.

But they weren't considered the best, and obliged to put on fights with the best.

And the fact that Floyd's been fighting on numerous occasions, and not just some post retirement farewell type fights only makes him look worse.

The question begs to be asked. Why did he retire in the first place? I mean, he came back, and continued on like the retirement was just smoke and mirrors.

It's not the most curageous thing to do but if a fighter want's a break it's understandable. Boxing is a demanding sport and if you aint fully motivated its better not to do it at all.

The new "in thing" now is for the Floyd fan to criticize Ward. Takes a lot of nerve to do dat, but at least 1 has managed.
