    Yes and no.

I am glad he is not being reckless as he once was, fearing a KO again, but also feel that his main selling point was how he would try and get the KO at all costs, at least in the past anyway.

Fans love KO's and that has always been the case.

yes, manny really did a good job of boxing instead of fighting with rios... Earlier in his career he wouldnt have been able to do it.. Its a credit to roach that over the years he has molded manny into a legit top level skills guys, instead of a jab jab straight left type fighter he was at feather...
He didnt start developing the right hand till the morales fight, and even then he used it sparingly, i think after morales beat him up, he realized that he needed to listen to roach and not be such a one-dimensional fighter like he was in MAB 1, JMM 1 and EM 1.
If manny continues to box like that, it will be hard for anyone to beat him

Manny was very sound technically in that fight. I was actually pretty impressed with his discipline and commitment to the game plan.

I liked his right hooks to the body that night

You rarely see a southpaw throw a shovel hook

As much as I dislike him, this is why Ortiz would shock a lot of fighters in the early rounds, the right hook. Southpaws for some odd reason don't have that much in their arsenal.

Now, lets see him outbox Bradley...to be honest, this safety first Manny is boring though.

The angles are most open for a left hand, so the majority of southpaws end up becoming these left hand happy fighters.

Lefties aren't as aesthetically pleasing to watch as orthies for this reason. They often lack the dope offensive variety that stems from having a great lead hand
