That is true some people do change character coming into a fight, that I have no problem with.

My problem is fighters writing checks that there ass can't cash, if your going to talk a good fight at least go out there and try to back it up.
I agree, Bellew went into the fight fired up and I thought he'd have more about him then he showed but I think Stevenson's power caught him early and he didn't want to taste it any longer.

He showed he could box well in spurts but just refused to let his hands go and when he did he actually made Stevenson pay for the mistakes he makes but it just wasn't enough. I think Bellew could have made a very different fight if he was more active and not so scared of the power.

Ahh well, at least it sets up Kov v Stev

I know about Adonis past but when I see him in the ring I become a fan. It's hard not to think about his past especially since it always comes up

        What's up Dos?

And for me I don't even think about his past.

I am a criminal defense Attorney, so I am far from the moral police and I have heard and seen good people do terrible things.

It is something irrational on my part I am the first to admit, but something about Adonis rubs me the wrong way.

EDIT: And it is not his shade of skin that rubs me wrong (I am half Black and half Mexican baby!)

I just youtube'ed (is that a word? LOL) Bellew, it seems he has a history of being a pre fight twat.

He did something similar with Nathan Cleverly and that was as much as I needed to know.

Given his history I find it amazing that he would be given a chance to be a pundit in the U.K.

Paulie Malignaggi is a commentator on Showtime and he's not exactly a shrinking violet in his pre-fights.

Bellew was goaded a lot by Cleverly. They just didn't like each other.

Bellew as always seemed to me as a fighter who needs to 'hate' his opponent. Maybe it helps him get in the zone.
He puts his game face on as soon as a fight is announced, but reverts back to normal after the fight is over, be it in victory or defeat.

True, Paul is not exactly shy either.

But Paul is IMO a little less abrasive.

Good point, some fighters have to get ready to fight in the manner that suits him best.

I was searching for some of his commentary so I could balance out my perception of the man but all I found was more damming footage.

But of course U.K. boxing fans have a better handle on the man than I would, and I thank you for the added knowledge.

                    No problem mate :ANYWORD:

I agree with a lot of your points. Bellew does often talk a better fight than he delivers.
And his weigh-in's ect can be a bit much at times. I think he's a kind of love him or hate him guy haha.
