    Is David Lemieux Improving?

David Lemieux has me wondering. He definitely paces himself now, which is good. He had a solid pace and didn't seem gassed in all 7+ rounds. He used to go all buck wild in there and leave himself exhausted after 3 rounds, like against Rubio.

Now though he does not seem to press enough after getting a guy hurt. He had his opponent up and down like a yoyo last night. He had that dude down 6 times I think, but never pushed for the grand slam. Now the guy was kind of sneaky and crafty, but Lemieux was bigger and should have closed the show earlier IMO.

How many of you watched it? He certainly still has that power. That combo in the second round Left Hook to Body + Uppercut was hard and very fast. It reminded my of that famous Tyson combo.

I just do not see real improvement in him. He altered one part of his game and took away from his other.

Lemieux is a guy that will always look world class against C and B class fighters (like he did last night). But as soon as he steps up to the upper echelons of the world scene, he crumbles.

Saying that, if he fights a guy like Barker who doesn't really pack a punch he could become a paper champ.

Interesting note that was Ricardo Torres brother he fought so getting up from KD's is nothing to him.

He looked a little more paced but whenever someone can take the early onslaught to fight back his fortitude will be tested and there's just a sense he might not pass.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see him against better guys after all he was beating up Rubio pretty bad until he was able to turn the tide.

Eventually he'll have to be in with a live opponent only then will you find out.

I would like to see him fight Love or Guerrero then Quillin if he wins.

Needs to work on his defense, a slow Torres was hitting him with ease at numerous points throughout the fight. Only lemieux's power stopping him from continuing this.

His offense is nice, power, speed, sharpness. Defense & footwork need to be worked on alot for him to take on the big boys and win.

He still overly relies on his power and gets caught by some very ****** punches. Amazing offense when he's on point doe.

              He'd smash Guerrero who's terrible,

              I'd say Stevens, Korobov, Macklin
