Funny how the same people here hate boxers like Mayweather and Broner when they act like they better get hate and dislike lol.

Probably because Mayweather and Broner present themselves in an extremely childish fashion, with a fake hardness to them for showbizz. Kovalev is the opposite, leaves all the meanness in the ring and conducts himself like a man otherwise.

I don't know why Mayweather is lumped with Broner. Two completely different fighters and personalities.

I've never seen Mayweather taunt anyone after a fight. He usually consoles them for the embarrassment they just went through. Mayweather is a class act. People find it hard to accept his 'brash act' as just that, an act to promote his fight (which seems to work pretty well).

Broner on the other hand says **** like 'I took his woman and now I took his belt' after he puts up an awful performance.

I feel a little like this. I think all boxers, even the supposedly nice ones like Pac and Bradley, can't be that nice because they are essentially in the business of hurting other people. You have to have some devil in you to do this.

However, considering Kovalev has already killed another fighter.....I dunno, all this stuff doesn't sit perfectly with me. Even when Sillakh was going down again for the second and final time and was completely out of it, Kovalev was trying to land one more vicious punch on him as he was falling.

You look at fighters like Eubank, Benn, Griffiths, Boom Boom Mancini, and how tragedies they played in a part in took something from them forever.....and yet Kovalev seems to be unaffected and just as vicious. I'm glad as a fighter it hasn't taken anything away cos he is a hell of a fighter. But I really hope he doesn't stand over and taunt over fighters he has just knocked down.

Normally I'm no fan of arrogant fighters. I find it fake and more of a bogus image to try and appeal to casuals. The reason I like Kovalev is because it feels real. I don't think hes arrogant. I think hes just genuinely a mean guy who wants to truly destroy and belittle anyone opposing him. That mean streak is really something.

Yeah and keep in mind the British fans booed the Russian anthem which is why he gave them the finger and with Sillkah...

Sillakh said in the past about Kovalev "mediocre fighter, he is nothing special" and few days before the fight he said, that he gonna outbox and finish Sergey.

In the first round you can hear Kovalev talking to Sillakh "****ing runner", and after KO he shouted "****ing dancer".

Lulz It would appear a wise idea not to piss Kovalev off.
