What??? Do you really mean that? With all my respect to Bhop we all know that he would not take this fight. He knows boxing very well and he understands better than most of us that Ko'valev aint Paskal or Claud or Dawson. I'm not one who's forsing him to take that fight at his age but I would not want to hear him saying tha Kova is ducking him.

Duckets is literally ******ed, don't mind him.

Obviously Kovalev didn't duck Hopkins. He was made Hopkins mandatory and Golden Boy weren't excited about it. Hopkins said he would fight him and would not be stripped of his IBF title. The problem was the process would have gone to a purse bid, then they'd have to figure out a new venue and date. Meanwhile Cleverly had a belt, a date and venue with a good offer to Kovalev. Rather than waiting on the drawn out process they took the Cleverly title fight.

Ah! Sorry for waisting this space for troll feeding
In all honesty - I really respect Bhop and what he's doing at his age. But in no way I would want to see him against Kova. He deserves better than total destruction at this point.

I don't want to see Hopkins fight him either at this age. Even if Hopkins were to win he'd have to take some big shots and thats not good at age 49

Roman Simakov. Just before Christmas 2011.

He apparently considered quitting the sport and took 6 months off, changed trainer (he used to be with Sanchez) then came back and re-embarked on his trail of LHW destruction by sparking Boone in 2.

Hopkins and Showtime said they weren't interested in Kovalev as an opponent only to approve the world renowned Karo Murat once Kovalev signed to fight Cleverly. I don't blame Hopkins for not wanting to fight him but you make it sound like he was willing to which is not something i remember.
