So Taansend, is there or is there not a problem with fights in Britain getting stopped early?

The culture in the UK is different from the culture in other countries.

Whether it's language, food, politeness, boxing, 'football', etc.

Fights in the UK get stopped earlier than they do in other countries. This was down to a spell of horrific injuries/deaths 20 or so years ago.

What's right is one is wrong for another.

I gave 3 examples not two. And that was before Froch-Groves and Chisora-Pala even happened. Suffice it to say that I feel validated by now in having the opinion I did.

I do feel bad that I derailed the thread because the history section plays it straight. But I don't feel bad for the actual opinion itself, it's not daft or silly in the least to dislike the reffing over there.

The ref in the Lemieux fight seemed to have a death wish for Torres. I think there were 7 knockdowns and he was still going to let the fight continue but the corner eventually threw the towel in.

That's more 'how to put a fighter in a coma' than how to do it.
