Wasn't an unnecessary point deduction at all. Dan was warned time and time again for excessive grappling in the rounds leading up to that and continued to do so even after having a point deducted.


Weird that the younger hometown guy didn't get the benefit in such a close fight.

could hardly award Bizier a single round in the opening 5 rounds with JoJo's body work, but Bizier got "busier" in the middle rounds. JoJo obviously won the championship rounds. The deduction was BS. JoJo wanted to fight; Bizier wanted to slug and hug.
