I'm beginning to think Chisora's chin is cracked. I don't remember him getting hurt by those types of shots before the Haye fight. How good is Pala anyway? I didn't know much about him.
I think it's the weightloss. I felt from the beginning that the weight loss would hurt his punch resistance. I don't think it was Haye tbh.
He just looked so damn solid around 245-250. Then again, he's much faster and more powerful now than he ever was. His head movement is better too. I think he's taking some of these guys lightly and just want to trade - and then gets a little surprised when he finds out they can **** too.
Do they not give standing 8 counts in the Uk or what ? I could have swore I saw Price get one against Thompson was he was outclassed and outgunned by the old man.
Pala, looked terrible but he looked like he could hurt Chisora at any moment,I think Warren was over eager to get his man out of there, kinda like a damage limitation affair.I dont know man but I dont see what all the excitement is about over Chisora, just because he has lost weight.he appears to have regressed drastically since the Helenius fight, having said that though he looked terrible against Fury and didn't even beat Helenius ! Vitali Klitschko was butchering the guy with before he stopped throwing the left, and then he was sparked out after gassing against Haye, who in turn himself looked as though he was slipping as well, outboxed and losing on the cards against Scott before yet another dubious stoppage !
I dont know if Chisora peaked too early, hasn't peaked at all or ever will but if the Helenius fight was the highlight and pinnacle of his career to date, thats pretty lame by my account and perception.
Was Chisora talking about Klitschko's again yesterday,or are they hoping to line up Price or somebody else ? Price v Chisora has the potential to be another Wilder vs Harrison, whoever lands first will win by KO,it could all be over in 12 seconds.I can't get excited over that fight,at least not yet,Chisora and Price both need to get in the ring and prove they've just had some minor setbacks, with Price though I fear his inability to take any form of power at the weight will never allow him to step anywehre past domestic level C- opposition.
I always think it's wrong to count Chisora out on these performances because he has an awful habit of fighting to the level of his opponent and looking terrible, but it sounds like his chin may now be an issue. I haven't seen the fight yet so I hope the views I've seen so far are wrong.
Another well-written article by Sukachev. Engaging, informative and draws me in to read further. I haven't watched the fights yet, but I'm already looking forward to them more now that I've read the way they unfolded.
