Can Pacquiao be an successful politician???

Even though I really like Pacquiao and wish him success as a leader of the Philippines I really do think he will fail miserably, reason being as a leader you need to be hard and stern most important you need to make you own decision and Pacquiao does not do that and seemingly he just can not. All his boxing decisions he leaves it to Bob "Depends on my promoter Bob Arum" Lets take Imran Khan as an example, as an ex cricketer the gentle man was known as a leader on and off the pitch, even then he's not successful.

I imagine, like I imagine with most athletes who enter politics, that Pac has a vast array of aides who do a lot of the decision making under the guise of "advising." At the very least, they can keep him in office.

Though, on the other hand, Pac would know more than most I would think what life is like for the poor of his country and how he could help them. Whether that translates now that he's actually in position I don't know.

I think he certainly has good intentions but it just doesn't seem he's too savvy about the ways of the world with all the recent issues coming up.

He is loved but I don't think that's enough.

Considering that most politicians are power-hungry, ambitious, corrupt people who go to great lengths to destroy their competitors and hold their positions... yes, Manny would fit perfectly into the world of politics.

This. He won a popularity contest that's all. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed
