    Stevenson's resume better than Kovalev's?

    No.

Stevenson has what.. . 3 fights at 175? Darnell Boone, Chad Dawson and Cloud. Boone is the definition of a journeyman. He knocked Stevenson out in the first fight. He gave Kovalev a tough fight the first time around and knocked down Andre Ward. Still, having an L TKO2 to Boone on your record isn't exactly impressive. Beating him in a rematch doesn't really mean anything either. I'm not even sure how exactly Stevenson got the v Dawson fight with basically no one on his record at 175. Now we have a "lineal champion" who won't fight the clear number 2 in Kovalev. Sergey beat Campillo, who gave Cloud a boxing lesson. He beat Cleverly, who beat the guy Adonis is fighting tomorrow. Now he's taking on Sillakh, who is better than just about everyone Adonis had faced. He also has a good win over Cornelius White. But Adonis gets to sidestep him? Are you really trying to tell me that fighting a journeyman from the UK is a more lucrative fight than a champion based in America who has had television exposure? It's just BS and I hope HBO steps in and forces Stevenson to take the fight.

Why do you think Kovalev and Stevenson are doing a double header tomorrow?

HBO are blatantly building it up.

Stevenson should be contend er for fighter of the year. Beating Boone alone almost is a better accomplishment then Cleverly. Cloud is looked at as a sorry ex champ but even he was WAY more proven then Cleverly.

Stevenson is trying to pull a "mayweather" on Kovalev.

              Their resumes are about equal.

              Campillo > Cloud

Dawson (even coming off a KO loss) > Cleverly

I'm gonna make a guess, Stevenson got an offer to fight Kovalev next and didn't like the money, probably because he could fight other fighters on HBO and get the same amount of money. It is most likely a business related decision rather than a duck. Stevenson probably wants more money.

With that said if the fight happens, i'd like Kovalev to destroy Stevenson. But Sillakh could ruin this, and I can't say much about Bellew but I won't count him out. These are two good fights on Saturday, I don't understand the journeyman label on Bellew.

This year he beat a decent gatekeeper, but then KO'd the top guy in less than a round and then cut up a former beltholder.... who wasn't that good, but was still a belt holder

Kovalev just has more experience. I think he stops Stevenson if they fight. Still wanna see it though. Well I guess you could call Bellew a contender? Idk I don't think he's very good. But he may be able to actually give Adonis some problems. We'll see tomorrow.
