Herbie had been suspected of some rough/bad stuff for a long while before this and that's exactly why those great crusaders for the common good and decency (sarcasm) The Sun went after him and thought they'd get a story.

At his best he was a genuinely fast and explosive guy who really let his hands go and was exciting to watch. But that kind of 'fire in the hole' approach was never going to work for a small HW against the big beasts like Vitali and Rid**** Bowe. Both guys did a major number on Herbie.

I am not sure Herbie was always the nicest soul on the planet - he had a rep for being a spiteful gym bully and extremely moody - but I am not particularly pleased either to see a sensationalist tabloid newspaper send him to jail.

We pay big taxes in the UK to fund our police forces and it should be down to them to deal with Herbie....rather than a bunch of tabloid hacks.
