Lomo is breaking out March 1st. Salido will put up a valiant effort, but be dominated and stopped.

i dont understand what the rush is either. loma seems like the truth but throwing him in there with someone like salido is a huge risk! i think loma's first fight was only 4-6 rounds and im sure this fight will be 12. i know from experience that jumping up that many rounds this quick is major against a vet like salido. if loma pulls this one off they have a real star on there hands.Comment

ok thanks. i know he stopped the guy early though but for them to have him fighting 10 rounders in his debut his fight stamina must be awesome. how many rounds are wsb 5?Comment

i agree with you it just seems rushed but of course im comparing him to "regular" fighters and he is something special. i guess if he loses it wont be a big hit to his career. im rooting for him though.Comment

Respect to Lomachenko for pushing this fight as early as he has. He, reportedly, had his team negotiate an early title shot clause into his Top Rank contract.
During his debut, I learned enough about him to think that Salido is not going to be an easy fight for him. Salido's going to have to walk through an excellent offensive arsenal to defeat Lomachenko, but I think he's built for the task. There are nuances to the pro game that Vasyl doesn't have down that Salido will exploit (Orlando can avoid/withstand the counter punches that is). Hopefully the odds are as wide as I expect them to be because Salido is going to give the kid a learning experience.Comment
