Lomo is breaking out March 1st. Salido will put up a valiant effort, but be dominated and stopped.

i'll be very impressed if Loma wins this, Loma asked for this n if he really is getting this fight with Top Rank its cause he got it under contract that he wanted a title shot in his 2nd fight

      i think Salido stops him

Lomachenko's pro-debut was a 10 round bout and he fought in the World Series of Boxing prior to that so in reality his first official pro-fight wasn't really his pro-debut. =)

Personally I do understand the rush. Its a chance at greatness. Nobody goes straight to a title from the amateurs these days. All the power to him I hope he does well and I'm excited to see if he can be successful in this challenge.

ok thanks. i know he stopped the guy early though but for them to have him fighting 10 rounders in his debut his fight stamina must be awesome. how many rounds are wsb 5?

i agree with you it just seems rushed but of course im comparing him to "regular" fighters and he is something special. i guess if he loses it wont be a big hit to his career. im rooting for him though.

                  No...he's really not.

He's a tough mofo but several million boxing levels below Loma.

Respect to Lomachenko for pushing this fight as early as he has. He, reportedly, had his team negotiate an early title shot clause into his Top Rank contract.

During his debut, I learned enough about him to think that Salido is not going to be an easy fight for him. Salido's going to have to walk through an excellent offensive arsenal to defeat Lomachenko, but I think he's built for the task. There are nuances to the pro game that Vasyl doesn't have down that Salido will exploit (Orlando can avoid/withstand the counter punches that is). Hopefully the odds are as wide as I expect them to be because Salido is going to give the kid a learning experience.
