    He trained James Toney during his cruiser weight run, and Tyson for a brief stint. He and Toney had a lot of success together.

      I remeber him and hames toney, he was also Israel Vasquez trainer.

        He trained Virgil hill to a championship when he took over for Eddie Futch, he also helped train Marlon Starling, he trained Johnny Tapia, Gerry Penalosa (Penalosa was first trained by roy Jones jr's father years ago in Florida), Klitschkos, Tyson, he was the trainer who trained James Toney during his comeback revival when many thought Toney was washed up and overweight and took him to wins over Jirov and Holyfield.

        This is all before he blew up big time with Pacman.

              I think he got started training the actor Mickey Rourke for his brief boxing run back in the day around the same time as Virgil Hill. I'm sure just being associated with Mickey at that point was a pretty big deal.
