Of course his White knight fans will explain, defend and justify everything but that's irrelevant and not the point.
The Canelo fight happened at the perfect time, perfect weight, and the win was perfect. Many people have Cotto as Manny's top 3 win, the fight happened at 145lbs. Every one calls Pacquiao an 8 weight champion, he fought a non top 10 ranked fighter at 150lbs...for a vacant title.

Different standards make for Mayweather to get bashed for the same thing Pacquiao does, and even worse things. Floyd gets bashed for wins he got before Pacquiao beat them, that Pac then got credit for when he beat them, and Floyd also gets bashed for fighters he fought after Pacquiao beat them, who Pacquiao gets full credit for. Floyd gets bashed for beating an undefeated fighter 'cause he was green', and also gets bashed for fighting boxers with 1 loss, because the fighter had 1 loss.

Finally, Pacquiao gets credit for the 10-15lbs size disadvantage he's always in on fight night, no such credit exists for Mayweather despite him and Pacquiao both weighing 149-150 on fight night, against the same opponents and a variety of others, because Floyd doesn't knock them out.

As a Hopkins fan, did you not notice the lack of credit Hopkins got for the Cloud win despite he was underdog? And notice how Stevenson was favored against Cloud, but got full credit and is now 'feared' by Andre Ward according to fans, but also got knocked out by a journeyman? It's the KO/TKO effect. For some reason Mayweather, Hopkins, Ward are less of a man, afraid of engaging, cherrypickers, because of the simple fact that people don't like how they fight. They fight the same boxers every one else fights, but are unintentionally given "God status" by their critics with the high standards they are set up in, and of course, set themselves to for being too good for the simple minded to understand what is going on in the ring.
