Definitely after the mayweather fight, but probably earlier. He had the huge win over Margarito so he was no doubt going to take the huge payday against Mayweather but he should of definitely called it a day after that one sided loss. At the end of the day I'm saying he should of retired after Mayweather when he made millions off of fighting Alvarez and Pacquiao so how can you blame the guy for not retiring when there's that much money to be made and its in doing something that you've done your whole life. -

Realistically he should have called it a day after he had to come from behind to knockout Ricardo Mayorga.
Margarito was a perfect style match for him, but he was past it by then.Comment

Hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to great fighters that hold out just too long. But that's what most of them only know, and why we appreciate them.
If I was SSM, had a time machine, and had a cleric that could see into the future, it would be after his win over Margarito.
