Diego Corrales would have made the lighweight champs of today **** their pants. Brandon Rios who? Richard Abril who? Ricky Burns who? Antonio Demarco? Miguel Vasquez??

I know Brandon is out of the picture at that weight , but he was considered the "destroyer" at that weight not too long ago by some people. (Not me)

What about "El Cepillo"? And J.L Castillo. Would have toyed with those kids.

Think Mikey would consider moving up? Or Gamboa , he would be AWOL in every press conference.

Agreed - it's really diluted. Stevie Johnston would've had a field day. I'd take Cesar Bazan over everyone, including Rios. I remember watching Alvarado come up on Telemundo/Telefutura and never would've ever imagined him on HBO but the talent pool just isn't what it once was.

135 Shane and Oscar were just terrible monsters. Scarier than Chavez SR at this weight and Duran level IMO
