Jesus Soto Karass vs. Mayweather

I have one question for you guys. Is Mayweather vs Soto Karass any worse than the Guerrero fight?

I didn't think so.

Guerrero handled berto. Yea soto ko him but he was struggling and berto had one arm for majority of the fight, he's too one dimensional. If he beats Thurman and maybe a khan or someone then ok. But I highly doubt he gets past Thurman

but ghost was on a long winning streak, and soto-karass just got beat by maidana not to long ago, plus he has like 11 losses whereas ghost only had 1.

To us boxing fans, they really isnt too much difference, but to the general public Ghost was a much easier fighter to promote

Your telling me that Berto eye that was almost shut after the 2nd round didn't play a factor in that fight. My point is Guerero had done very little above 126. He didnt beat anyone if note even at 135 besides a shopworn Katsidis. Karass beat Aydin and Berto much more impressively than Guerrero. And I have no doubt he would do better against Mayweather. He won win but he would make it more of a fight than Guerrero was able to.

And Ali. Guerrero would've had more tha one loss if he had fought the kind of competition that Karass has faced.

Maidana beat Karras last year, if he beats Broner as well he would deserve it more than karass. (BTW, i don't want Maidana or Karras to fight Floyd, i would be OK with Maidana though as he would be a title holder)

That may be true, but to sponsors and executives they dont care or realize this,, they say one guy is a multi-division champ with one loss and on a winning streak, or you have a journeymen on a hot streak,,, The people that make these decisions arent hardcore boxing fans, all they know is what looks the best to the general public, and ghost is most def an easier sell than soto-karass

Lets not forget that Guerrero was offered the fight with Thurman first and he wanted nothing to do with it. Karass gets the call and it gets made. They didn't need I twist his arm because he's a real fighter and is willing to take on anyone

You said if he beats Thurman and then someone like Khan. That would be a step back if he actually beats Thurman. And now Berto is shot after Ortiz and Guerrero. But not many we're giving Karass a shot in that fight either and I doubt you were saying that before the fight.
