Comments Thread For: Stevenson-Bellew: Ticket Sales Are Going Strong

Anticipation continues to grow for Adonis Stevenson’s upcoming World light heavyweight championship title defense versus mandatory challenger Tony Bellew. The bout headlines at Colisée de Quebec (nee Pepsi Coliseum) this Saturday, and airs live on HBO World Championship Boxing.

Stevenson (22-1, 19KO) became one of 2013’s breakout stars, scoring three stoppage wins in as many fights in what has been a career-best year for the Haitian-Canadian. For his upcoming showdown with England’s Bellew (20-1-1, 12KO), current tickets sales confirm his star on the rise.

Actually looking forward to the Kovalev fight more than the Stevenson one. Those 2 in the ring next time out though, that would be excellente.

      This^.

Stevenson shouldn't have too much problem with Bellew who can only realistically try to keep Adonis at range but I expect to be stopped mid-rounds.

Sillakh however is a very dangerous fighter himself, and possibly Kovalevs toughest test to date. Both are very skilled accurate combination punchers and had it not been for an apparent vulnerability in the chin department it could very easily have been Sillakh defending a title on Saturday.

It has the makings of a very good fight indeed and stylistically the pair have many similarities with Sillakh being perhaps a little faster and Kovalev more heavy handed.
