They're obviously insisting on a certified copy for a reason. Bob is saying they requested the copies and that the IRS is slow. The BIR is saying it shouldn't take 2 years to get those copies.

Apparently, they suspect something fishy's going on.

The point is...the IRS is not chasing Pac anything regarding about the 2008-2009 taxes. 3 years of tax evading Pac will not get a free pass from the IRS and this should be in the news in US a year or two years ago. Which common sense will tell us Pac doesn't owe the 2008-2009 taxes earning in the Philippines because of the treaty preventing a double taxation.

Smarter? all Pac has to do is get a legit accounting firm. But that accounting firm came to the Philippines to help Pac and than goo old Arum called up pac and told him not to talk to those guys. They were looking into pacs finances and said he made over 300 million or something like that an he only had 75 million.

I don't remember the full story but Arum basically nixed them he probably wired Pac 3 million to keep him satisfied.

Pac is going to end up broke, and this guys wife is an idiot too, jinkee is not bright at all. The same chick that was lured by prosperity preaching born again who basically take 10 percent of their income.

I've worked with, and know a lot of Filipinos, and they are far from ******, especially about money. And because Manny and his wife pursue faith and pay a ten percent tithe to their church shows a level of commitment to that church and has nothing to do with ******ity. Granted, he's not a wall street banker, but probably the greedy and unprincipled of his world fleeced him, or something very much like it. Now, unfortunately he has to pay the piper.

That's irrelevant, we are talking about the phillipines tax people here. It shouldn't take 2 years to get certified copies. Moreover I have seen the same IRS audit people's tax record dating back 10 years, so because they haven't said anything about Pac taxes for 2008 or 2009 doesn't mean everything is spot on.

Joe Louis taxes were dated back more than 10 years. Point is it shouldn't take the IRS 2 years to get Pac a certified copy, am sure an ordinary tax paying American or foreign citizen can call up the IRS today and in 2 weeks he or she would have receive their copies, when it comes to Bob Arum am very sceptical. Am sure Pac himself pay his taxes to Bob Arum but how is Pac sure Bob Arum pays that 30% or whatever cut to the taxman on his behalf?

First, if Top Rank dont pay the taxes withheld, they face fines and further investigation they dont want. Second, they are not saying that they are waiting for two years for those certification. They just dont like the supporting evidence they have and they are using it against him now. They are trying to make Manny look bad, specially after all the votes he is going to earned for a presidential race after the recent devastation and him looking like a national hero.

he still comes up short, as @ that income level the rate is 39.6 %...as 4 the Macau bout their's is a complicated system but he would have to pay a max of 16 % 4 the Rios bout..IMO it's why Pac stays away from the US, IRS has him in their sights...
