1. Arum and Finkel arent just promoters but very shrewd businessmen also. By setting the September bout, they accomplish a lot of things. They make more money and they also get to bump the DLH fight with HBO PPV.
2. Pac was interviewed last night saying that a 3rd fight with EM is on, but said they're currently negotiating it to be held in Manila. I guess the planned stadium bout hasnt reached him yet.
3. Pac WILL never duck a 3rd Morales fight though it may be unpopular to many boxing afficionados who would rather see him fight JMM and mexi**** *****, MAB (if he ever fights pac). Strategically, the JMM and MAB fights are just waiting in the wings and for him and his management, the fever pitch of a 3rd EM fight is just too much of a temptation even though its 6 pounds higher than his REAL fighting weight (126). The 132 issue is just meant as a "quiet scapegoat" from the Morales camp that the 2nd fight was mainly because EM got drained too much. Judging from the odds he's facing and the possible record in revenues that will be earned, Pac should ask for a purse of no less than $5M. If these crocodiles are wise, he should be wiser.
4. Another question would be who would Pac's interim bout opponent. I have serious doubt whether they'll bring in a quality fighter since they don't want to risk Pac to undue injury or worse an upset. And since Pac's next fight would prolly be here in Manila, we should be less excited about this. And correct me if Im wrong, EM doesnt have an interim or tune-up fight of his own? Geez, Arum's spending more time with EM's **** than his wife.
