Really ? So where do they get it from ? If a promoter is owed say %15 of a fighters purse and a trainer is owed say %10 what number are they putting a percentage on in order to get their share ? If Manny's "guarantee" is 25 .. How much did roach and arum make off of him ?

It definitely comes out of the fighter's guaranteed purse, along with other revenue streams like sponsorships.

$18m is nothing, Floyd has donated over well $100m to ailing Las Vegas casinos.

He's given a hundred-fold of that amount, considering he gives out goods and cash to anyone who asks of him in his home.

Pac is still going to be fighting in ten years time. We think this is the end of his career when it's probably just the middle.

Pac will be broke one day if this is true. I have met some who give and give, and others who take and take.

I guess if you're gonna be a broke boxer like most, may as well give to your people.

Well it depends on how much the PPV sells I guess, but you take it from the agreed % he takes from those sales.

If what John says is correct.

but here in Manila the news is....

Pacquiao borrows P1M for Yolanda survivors

MANILA, Philippines – In an ironic turn of events, Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao was forced to borrow at least P1 million for his financial needs, as well as to buy the relief goods that he promised to give to the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda.

Pacquiao’s financial dilemma was brought about by the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) move to issue a warrant of garnishment, levy and distraint on his bank accounts and real properties.
