Comments Thread For: Hearn: Groves To Get a Froch Rematch or Title Shot

Oh god, you're at it again...Froch doesn't want it with Groves, he took a serious beating and saw the hunger in Groves eyes
Hern doesn't want to lose his cash cow, he knows himself if Forch loses then that's it for him. They want to milk him as much as possible before cashing in.
If he is to fight Groves he better do it ASAP, cuz Groves is only going to get better and Froch is heading for the slide.
There is a new kid on the block and his name is King GeorgeComment

Watch the video below you, he says "it doesn't matter if you fight on another rival promoters show" or something to that affect, and points at eddie.

"George Groves has signed with promoter Eddie Hearn after announcing his split from Frank Warren and pulling out of a challenge for the European super-middleweight crown."
(...)
Groves will also appear on the Carl Froch-Mikkel Kessler bill on 25 May.
"Eddie Hearn is doing great things promotionally and I'm excited to be a part of it," said Groves, 24.
"I've had three fights in 18 months, which is not ideal, so it will be great for me to get out regularly.
"I'm healthy, I'm training hard and Eddie has promised to keep me busy, so everything is looking good and I'm raring to get back into action."
(...)
"I'll have just as close an eye on the Froch v Kessler fight as I really believe I could get a crack at the winner and Eddie knows I want that fight."Comment

Money_May is right, he does not mean George never signed with Eddie Hearn/ Matchroom he is trying to say the deal has ended and George is potentially a free agent, you got a little misunderstood. I have heard George before the fight he was saying the Matchroom sports boxing deal was for 3 fights. The Carl Froch fight was his 3rd under matchroom. The Dario German Balmaceda, Noe Gonzalez Alcoba and Carl Froch fights were under Matchroom/ Eddie Hearn so it will be interesting to hear if he has extended the deal or is a free agent.
George said the Baker Barakat fight did not count as it was on short notice in Germany on a Sauerland Events promotion.Last edited by chocolate; 11-25-2013, 07:57 PM.Comment
