Comments Thread For: Roach: No Problem With Rios, Ariza Bad Blood Remains

Hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach has nothing bad to say about former champion Brandon Rios. This past Saturday night in Macau, Roach's fighter Manny Pacquiao dominated Rios over twelve rounds.

In the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view battle, there was a lot of trash talking between the two camps.

The animosity increased when Roach fired Pacquiao's strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who was later hired by Rios' trainer Robert Garcia. [Click Here To Read More]

That whole debacle was juvenile. The racial garbage, the making fun of a disease. They should all feel really embarrassed. This is a professional sport ffs.

Ariza showed what a piece of trash he is no question. Not to mention Rios was flabby. Garcia had to be super embarrassed when Ariza started talking like an 8th grade bully, then Rios was as slow, clueless and helpless as ever. He didn't have the conditioning to pull the trigger, probably over-trained like Manny was his last few times with Ariza. Garcia is so respectful and did better on his own it's hard to imagine he will keep this loser around for another fight.

The fight is over Freddie. This was never about you. You injected yourself into a situation and you shouldn't have. You're the one who got mad when Ariza told you to get the eff out. You stooped to his level by saying make me leave and approached him and interrupted Garcia's interview.

Sure Garcia got mad. You interrupted his interview which is why he spoke to you that way.

This wasn't about Ariza either. This was a conflict between trainers. The one who was supposed to respond was Garcia not Ariza.

Think before you post. Cause going by your logic, Ariza injected himself in a situation that wasn't about him either.

It's true that it hurts more when your enemy is someone you used to have a relationship with.

Ariza is a scum. No wonder even while with Team Pacquiao, Fighthype was talking to him a lot about insider info. I don't think Garcia & Rios will keep him. Too low class even for their standards.

Ariza is a hack simple and plain, just an overpaid fitness coach who couldn't even get Rios to look in half decent shape. Boxers need to wake up and understand these "strength and conditioning" coaches provide very little training to supplement their boxing routines. Most of their "expertise" could be found on a simple google search or by getting a library card. Ariza is a conman who gets paid a ton of money for making Rios do a few workouts most people on this board could easily come up with.
