    Traditional Mexican trainers......

    Apart from nacho....

I think that the traditional come forward tough as nails take a lot of punishment Mexican trainers are limited at the highest level. They can get there man in tip top shape and get them to hit the heavy bag nice and hard but when it comes to the strategic doctrine and game plan side they are limited. In the donaire-rigo, PAC-margo, and now in the rios-PAC fights Robert garcias only instructions between rounds was "throw more punches" "start with the body then go to the head"

Can't see rios progressing as a fighter if he stays at that gym

garcia couldnt tell rios what to do about pac circling right (counterclockwise)to neutralize his offense all night. thats all pac did to get away from rios' punches.

or maybe thats a flaw roach saw in rios and capitalized on that

Mexican Trainers - go all out, brawl it out til someone drops and runs out of gasoline.

African American Trainers - most of the times go for defense and fighting smart.

White American Trainers - do a rocky like fight. a little bit of mexican style all out war but put a surprising defense at times.

European Trainers - jab your way to finish.

Asian Trainers - Do roadwork and conditioning **** the skills and wait til a foreign trainer does the trick.

I've seen a good share of asian undercard fighters that had some crazy chins lately. The guy against Verdejo, the Pac-lookalike vs Gamboa, a couple others I can't remember, but they tend to lose convincingly while still taking punishment and attacking once-twice a round with heart lol.

it's all about the conditioning. all they do is get themselves tougher and tougher so they can hang in there. but skill wise we don't have enough knowledge on how our fighters should be trained. it needs a foreign coach to do the magic.

imagine how tough and fast pacquiao is and all he has is buboy. i don't think he'll ever win fights with the elite.

what about joel diaz, roberto alcazar?
and mikey garcia and donaire arent face first brawlers.

somebody else said this already, but garcia is getting the best out of what rios has. he lacks any of the athletecism of a slick fighter.
