I think a better question would be to name a fighter who has had a run of consecutive fights similar in quality to Froch.

Unfortunately there aren't many. Who has he not fought at Super Middleweight? Who else has quite literally fought everyone in their weight class?

Froch was in the Super Six and everyone who signed up to that tournament deserves some credit. However, guys like Dirrell and Kessler pulled out. Some others got quite favourable draws.

That's forgetting that Froch fought Pascal and Taylor before the Super Six, then Lucian Bute straight after. You can **** on Bute now but he was heavily favoured to beat Froch and Andre Ward rejected the chance to fight him. Fights Kessler in a rematch. Then he takes on Groves who is 11 years younger and has an awful style for him.

My opinion on Froch is if he didn't have this type of mentality (believes his own **** doesn't stink attitude) he wouldn't be the type of fighter he is.

He annoyed me after the fight, waffling on about groves.

But in the ring he tends to back it up, fought everyone never ducked out of a fight. In numerous FOTY candidates, which is why I love watching him box.

his interview at the end was a ****ing disgrace. groves sitting right next to him and he's still carrying on, giving it the big i am, and how groves has finally proven himself to me and hes earnt a little bit of respect from me. the guy is so delusional and up himself, its not even funny anymore

I like Froch.

But after his post fight interview I was just wishing Groves had 20 seconds more in that first round and Froch would have taken the mother of all humblings.

But his self-belief is what make Froch a world class fighter. Everyone sits here as boxing fans and picks holes in his fighting style but he is what? A three time world champion and has fought all the best fighters of his era. And people describe him as mediocre? Hmmm.

I've seen this retcon of the fight a few times in NSB now. Carl did NOT lose every round of the Jermain 'Gas Tank' Taylor fight. Taylor built up an early lead and then, as is custom, starting gassing out. I had Taylor three points up going into the last, as did, ISTR, two of the judges.

Froch fights everyone which is rare as hell towards the top of any division. Plus he knocks guys out and has a smoking hot chicka. His attitude and trash talk is usually very funny as well, not mean spirited most of the time. I'm a fan.
