pacquiao admitted in an interview rios hurt him with one left hook shot. before, whenever pacquiao got hit, he would clap his gloves together and then dish out his patented 6-8 punch combinations. but in the rios fight, pacquiao just showed more movement and considerably less punches. the chin is still there

This version of Pacquiao will be more difficult to beat as he will not allow himself anymore to give his opponent a free shot. He will beat his opponent by his speed and movement alone.

It takes a murder punch to finish him off.
Pacquiao was previously stopped by body shots buddy.

I'll say this, Pacquiao didn't seem comfortable taking punches. He didn't seem like the same Pacquiao who fought Margarito. You know, the maniac asking to get punched.

Now Idk if it was cause he was self conscious and paranoid or if he knows something we dunno about his chin.

Either way, I don't have a problem with it. Just an observation I made.

pacquiao had a great chin in his prime. he's clearly past his prime, but he still has a fine chin. marquez hit him with shots he didn't see. the first looping right hand was something that manny backed into, and blinded himself with his own guard. the knockout shot in the sixth was something manny all but ran into.

it also can't be ignored that marquez is very likely using PEDs.

one of manny's biggest issues is that he's not actually a welterweight. when a big guy hits him in the body it physically moves him. it's hard to defend against that if the guy throws more than once, because you're not set and you lose some balance. that won't be a huge issue against mayweather.

pacquiao's arm length would be his biggest issue. mayweather is going to be able to take advantage of pacquaio's arm length and beat him to the punch on the outside. in his prime manny would be able to turn the heat up, and make it a afun fight. today he doesn't have the legs to do that for 12 rounds. he can hardly do it for three whole minutes.

mayweather UD. 3 million ppv buys, still.

i don't understand why supposedly knowledgable boxing fans don't understand punching power.

you don't get weaker moving up in weight. the opponents chins are stronger at higher weights.

rios hits harder at 147 than 135.

when ppl say their power didn't carry to the higher weight division, it means the gain in power they made putting on weight didn't match the better punch resistance of their opponents at the higher weights.

bigger/heavier you are adds strength. strength plays a part in punching power and punch resistance.
