as expected, this was basically 2 guys at different skill levels -- before we start hyping Manny's 'comeback', let's realize that this was basically a showcase fight for him -- by that I mean any time an aging elite guy chooses to fight someone who LOST his last fight, you know that he was handpicked as an opponent to look good against -- Rios was made to order for Manny, that's why he was chosen -- let's see what Manny does when he steps up in class....

This fight was all smoke and mirrors. Casuals will eat this up but the hardcore fans know the truth. Rios was tailored made and most of all.

My sediments exactly. Rios had trouble stopping Alvarado first time, had to hit him with a LOT of shots. 2nd time he hit him a lot but Rado running allowed him to get hit "less" which gave him a chance on cards. No way Rios was hitting Pacman (who has amazing foot movement) enough to test his chinny chin chin. Take a WW fight now, us real fans wana know what you REALLY have left Pacman!

That I agree with 100%. He DID look good, looked mobile, had stamina, still blindingly fast, just didn't go gung ho, and didn't have that "****" behind his shots. Rios shudda been out in 7 with the shots he landed.

Pacquiao offered the same to Bradley for a rematch and they declined. They both took less money to fight each other than a war with Pacquiao. So Rios was available and everyone in Boxing said. "Oh that's a dangerous fight for Pacquiao!" Go dig up the headlines, the articles. "If Manny can't handle the bombs of Rios, its time to retire". YOU read the headlines, idiot. Manny looked great and he woulda looked good against anyone last night . He had speed landing multiple punch combinations, great lateral movement and as far as power he didn't get the ok but did you see rios's face and manny's face was clean .I don't care if he didn't get the knock out , when was the last time mayweather got a ko? Oh yeah Ortiz lol . I think manny getting Ko'd might of made him a better smarter fighter.
