Triple world champion, undefeated Cuban Yuriorkis "Cyclone of Guantanamo" Gamboa (23-0, 16KOs), will return on December 21s at the Oasis Arena in Cancun, Mexico. The card is being promoted by Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing. The opponent has yet to be determined for the Olympic gold medal winner. In his most recent bout, Gamboa won a unanimous decision over Colombian Darleys Pérez on the 8th of June in Montreal, Canada. In July, Gamboa made a visit to Cancun, where he expressed his desire to meet then world champion, Jalisco's Abner Mares, who lost the title at the hands of Johnny Gonzalez.
