Arum all of the sudden wants to make this fight but says now he wants Showtime and HBO to promote this fight together. Which is not going to happen. Mayweather just signed a six fight deal with Showtime.

No way does Showtime want HBO involve in this fight. Either this fight happens on Showtime and Arum does this deal without GBP and just works with TMT.

Which if this fight does happen thats the way it's going down. Arum gets what he wants to cut out GBP from this fight and Showtime gets what they want Pac vs Mayweather on their network.

Or it can be Arum is just kicking the tires not really trying to make this fight.

I mean it won't be as exciting as people think it would be. People would be pissed off just how bad Mayweather's style would make Pac look. Which is why Bob never wanted the fight in the first place. He was marketing Pac as the Mayweather killer. Had he actually made the fight and was proven wrong (in which the majority of the boxing community thought so), would hurt his business.

Why prove yourself wrong when you can continue to hype something without ever having to prove anything? It was brilliant but now that nobody believes in the Pac hype, Bob is trying to rebuild it and expresses that he hopes Pac will look good (reason they cherry picked Rios) so he can cash out on a Mayweather fight that he is finally ready to make. Or so he's making it sound.

Bob's been in the game for decades and when he wants to make a fight, he makes it. Nobody stops Bob from doing what he wants. He will do it legally or illegally, doesn't matter. He gets **** done when he wants to.

HBO and Showtime could theoretically work together for that fight it is big enough as long as Manny doesn't look broke against Rios.


I don't think that is the biggest stumbling block, are both sides going to do what it takes to make it happen. That involves a lot of pride swallowing on both sides and both sides are pretty stubborn.
