Hating a boxer because of his fanbase.. Truth or BS?

    i call it BS
why would i hate a fighter because of another dude fan overating him?

i hear alot of people saying this qoute "i wish that dude gets Koed so his fanbase would stfu", then they go "i like the boxer but i hate his fanbase thats why"

how would u guys break this down type of people?

Mayweather/Garcia fans. That's how you break it down.

I have grown to dislike fighters that I previously didn't dislike/like through their fans on here. So yes it's true.

but would u consider this analogy?
every single fighter will always have a fan that overates them, whats stoping u from liking ur current favorite fighter?

These are usually Mayweather fans, or usually supremacists who say this.

They have to justify a reason for disliking Manny Pacquiao. They know Manny is a good guy and they really hate him because he is outshining floyd or gets more praise than Floyd, and the others ones hate him because he isn't the same race as them.

What they do is say who cares what Floyd do outside the ring I only care about his boxing lol, yet they hate Pacman for his fans. That is like hating someone because they have a **** relative something they can't control.

Watching Pac-Marquez III in a bar full of phillipinos. It's clear that 90% of them are not boxing fans, don't know what they are watching and their idiotic comments are detrimental to the sport as a whole. It would be better for them to leave and maybe the only way is for Pacquiao to lose.

I enjoy his fights though and if we could go back to an age before he was hyped as the P4P king then that would be ideal, lose some of the glory-supporters.

Floyd fans I don't have so much of a problem with because Floyd continues to win convincingly and doesn't need the fans to make excuses for his performances.

they are too busy making excuses to why he can't fight certain fighters

I was just observing what I heard during the fight, phillipinos saying it was a pacquiao round after every round. Delusional.

When you get those comments during a floyd fight its usually true.

But yeah I also hate those people calling floyd the GOAT but thankfully I haven't overheard it during a fight analysis by punters in a bar/pub.

I agree with this, boxing not being so mainstream in Britain means the casual fans have absolutely no clue and turn me against fighters all the time. I renember when Calzaghe was fighting Hopkins and people from my gym were saying 'joe will walk it, he's been a world champ for years, what's this other fella ever done?' and during the Haye years, 'but them other two haven't got real titles, Hayes the real champ', I renember explaining to a group how don king gave Valuev Chagaevs title, so there wasn't much merit in Haye winning it and they were like 'as if they would just take a title off someone'.
