Yeah, seems to be the case for Gabe. They know he's gonna put up a solid fight, but is just a step away from being able to win at the top level. That said, I think SHO may have regretted bringing him in if they were trying to make Love and Kid C look good.

There is always the chance Gabe could still get the kinda win that could make him a serious contender, I know the cards were stacked against him, but it looked possible for him to beat Quillin had it not been for the cut.

I ain't quite sure how much longer he can make it down to 154 tho. he's a good sized MW and was huge for a JMW. FWIW I think he's an improving fighter, and was starting to grow into MW - with the biggest questionmark at 160 being his power.

Yeah, it seems to me that Gabe will always fall just short versus the top guys. I don't think Showtime regrets his efforts. I think that's what they want from him: a guy that comes to fight, but just falls short.

The fight with "Kid" was close. Rosado could've definitely won, had it not been for the cut. Gabe can climb back into the big fights if he beats Charlo.

Agreed. I was sightly puzzled to see that Rosado was coming back down to 154. But maybe that's where his best chances lie. At junior middleweight, he can use his natural size advantage. At 160, he's still big, but not as big. Without the edge in size, his abilities aren't enough to get him over the top.

              ****e!

Has team Rosado never heard of a get-well fight? I've become a big Gabe Rosado fan over the past year, but damn, those Charlo boys are for real. Look for another game effort from Rosado that falls just short of victory.

I don't know If I believe this rumor and If they do fight I doubt it would be on 1/25. That cut Rosado suffered was pretty bad it may close up but I don't think it will completely heal by 1/25 a couple blows or headbutt from Charlo would most likely open it right back up...

Someone pointed out that Rosado already had a hairline scar in the same area that opened up versus Quillin. It could be that Gabe has too much scar tissue on that eyelid. It may never heal well enough to withstand excessive force.
