Get a medal and you will likely land a top promoter. Get a gold and it's likely you will earn at least a mil by the time your career is over. For most boxers anyway that turn pro and have more than 20 fights.

Think Boxrec or Wikipedia claims Mundine was paid 500k for his boxing debut.

Dude got 300k in his debut... so this is hardly surprising

He also made $500k in his second fight.

I was about ready to mention that. The guy wouldn't get paid 50K in the states but in China, he is a "megastar" or primed to be one at least. It's still incredible the amount of money he is making given his limited experience.
