Anthony Dirrell is with Al Haymon also. That destroys the myth that Al Haymon don`t let his fighters fight each other.Next month Broner is fighting Maidana which is 2 Al Haymon fighters. And we just had Garcia fight Mathysse which is 2 Al Haymon fighters.

I think they have close to the same skill level, but different styles, and Anthony Dirrell hits harder but Andre Dirrell is faster.

I actually thought it was ANDRE who was fighting Bika. This is a big step for Anthony. I'm really curious to see how he deals. Interesting fight.

Well, it's a bit complicated IMO.

Haymon seems to be willing to "sacrifice" some of his fighters to help out his other more promising fighters.

Like he's keeping Bika around as a champ, so he can set up a fight with a younger, more skilled Dirrell. I think we all know Bika is not a great champion, and he's basically holding the title for a young fighter to take it from him.

He's matching up Broner with Maidana, pretty much sacrificing Maidana to help him build up Broner. That fight is a mismatch. Maidana has a decent name in the sport, but he's a come forward fighter with a limited skill set. He is set up as a signature win for Broner.

Where the criticism lies is that we'll likely never see fights between Haymon's promising stars. For example we might not ever see a fight between Broner and Thurman. Two skilled fighters. Because the loser would be finished.

Instead we might see Thurman face Josesito Lopez, another sacrificial lamb.

The Matthysse-Garcia fight was a win-win for him. Because the winner would go on to be a star, which is what happened.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Haymon is going to be putting Broner up against Thurman anytime soon. Honestly,it's smart of him.

I always liked Anthony better than Andre. Ant commits to his punches more than Dre. Ant has ko power in either hand. He should handle Bika, but Bika is just one ofthose tough as nails guys that you can't overlook.

Great undercard fight. I like watching Bika in the ring win lose or draw.

Dirrells defense hasn't looked great in his last few fights and I seriously doubt he can knock out Bika. I was pretty big on the Dirrells at one time now not so much. They are both talented but neither are exactly the brightest lightbulbs in the box.
