Dude that went after Roach is actually related to Brandon Rios, all he had to was shout cut that shh out but that ain't in Brandon's DNA..just from watching footage on this crew it's an embarrassment to the sport on so many level and yes I agree Mikey is about the only solid one in that entire camp but i'm questioning how solid that is as well..he ain't really been hit yet for us to find that out but so far he looks promising. I really do wish Roach would've put hands on either Robert or Ariza both are overdue for an a s s whopping.

There are a few other cameras that caught the whole situation really well. Elie didnt even know Roach called him a squeaking *** because he had to go change cameras. Roach shouldnt of come in the way he did displaying agressiveness like he did and start the whole thing, the Rios team stood up to him and it escelated from there.Comment

Roach has been pissed at Garcia and his team ever since the mocked him about his disease. And to come to the gym and find out that Garcia and his camp is there fooling around all smiling acting like they don't know what time it is ofcourse Roach is going to say something. It all started when Roach asked Garcia that it's his time and Garcia said F-Off.There are a few other cameras that caught the whole situation really well. Those are not friendly words right? Are you going to standup for yourself or are you going to tell the school vice principal? Maybe the YMCA coordinator? Just because Roach has parkinsons he thinks he can do whatever he wants and people side with him as if hes some sweet innocent elderly person. Roach can be a huge jerk and if he thinks he can start trouble with anyone and theyre just supposed to back down and try and calm him down, hes wrong.Comment

Does boxing REALLY need this kind of thing?
I dont think it does. First off, I fully acknowledge that characters and a little controversy help to publicise the sport in not so much of an unhealthy way, and I can sort of see why people may think its good for the amount of PPV buys it may attract.....but!
Neither side emerges from this with any credit and its dragged the name and the image of the sport down to sewer level. Whether its Roach being an unreasonable prick and causing a confrontation where there shouldnt in all good sense have been one or Ariza kicking out and then mocking Freddie for his illness, it all adds up to do absolutely nothing but tarnish the image of the sport we all love.
On Roach - Whilst if you just take the words he said in isolation '****ing mexican' or '****ing ***' you could say that there isnt any grounds accuse him of racism, but why bring race or nationality into it at all? I get the argument that he trains people of all colours and nationality, but does that mean he is incapable of calling on something inside him and making a racist remark? Why say it at all? I dont think he was making an observation, put it like that.
On Ariza - Why this guy has such a prominent media profile I dont know. He should be seen(maybe not even seen) and most definitely not heard. He is a fitness trainer, nothing else. Him kicking Roach was pretty bad, but maybe given his time with him and knowing his temper thought he would strike first. Either way it was wrong. Far worse though, was that in a fortnight where three boxers have had to undergo brain surgery for injuries sustained in the boxing ring, he would deem it appropriate to repeatedly mock someone who had sustained a neurological condition as a result of his participation in the sport. This was absolutely disgusting and I really hope that RG tells him so.
I really hope this just isnt allowed to slide and that some sort of censure is dealt out to all those involved. Roach and Ariza should recieve massive fines for this at the very least.
My tuppence worth.Comment

He didn't say that off the bat.You ****ing piece of ****.

Roach approached Garcia and said that it's his time to utilize the gym (mind you its already been a half hour of Roach just standing in the corner waiting for them).
Garcia began the confrontation with an aggressively rude tone saying "No, we ain't going no where"
Of course Roach is going to be pissed. He's already been there for a half hour waiting for these guys to clear, cutting into his gym time. Then, on top of that, instead of Garcia displaying at least some humility, he goes on and acts like a child with these na-na-nabooboo tactics.
You can watch it right here.

Roach has always been a POS. He is not the humble guy Manny is. He's rude, racist and arrogant. He's had beefs with several trainers and boxers including the Mayweathers, Nacho, De La Hoya, Hatton, and now Garcia.
Having said that there is no excuse for Garcia's bullcrap. He is now a world renown trainer, he has big bright lights on him, he can't act or allow anyone in his camp to act in such a childish manner.Last edited by JJRod; 11-20-2013, 01:36 PM.Comment

yea while i got a good laugh out of it all i wondered what would make roach so aggresive in that situation but then i remembered the margarito mess. roach had every right to get at them, was it right? no but neither was rios and them for making fun of him, then throw ariza in the mix its all bad blood from there lol cant wait for the weigh in and pre-fight interviews, the drama was kinda needed to help build some anticipationI swear that team Garcia is like a fraternity of losers. Robert honestly thinks that saying sorry after that Margarito incident and then the other rumored ones was just going to make that go away. Damn right Roach is pissed and Roach ain't no sissy...now that Roach let them know face to face exactly how he felt about them they want to cry foul? Fk R.Garcia and his band of morons...Brandon fits right into the group too. This is Brandon's camp and he should've put all these people in check and all he did was like shh wasn't happening.Last edited by LOWBLOW_CHAMP; 11-20-2013, 01:51 PM.Comment
