The more I think about this confrontation, the more I think Roach was set up.
Robert Garcia stated that because of interview commitments he was allowed to use the Gym past 11. Now if this is true, Roach should have been informed. Roachs reaction when Garcia said and i'm paraphrasing 'we have this gym for a little longer', tells me that Roach wasn't informed.
Now, whoever's pulling the strings knows Roach is a bit of a hothead and he's just been thrust into somewhat of a volatile situation. The end result is a bit of a scuffle.
Now this mismatch (Pacquiao-Rios) has now become a 'Grudge match' and has added a bit of intrigue. This whole confrontation is only going to help PPV sales. The only person winning here is Bob Arum.
