How did Dawson go from "BAD" Chad to just BAD?

Chad's career has spiralled out of control since his loss to Pascal. How did he go from beating Adamek to getting beatdown and ktfo? The Stevenson KO was just brutal. His career has become Jermaine Taylor esque.

It's sad dude. I think he's just a guy who viewed boxing as a job and never really got up for his fights. There was almost a switch he turned in the Pascal fight before it ended; I think it really killed him to have that fight stopped early.

He never seemed passionate about boxing and it was just a good paycheck. He seemed too passive. I remember when Mayweather was saying Dawson would be the next great fighter.

I remember hearing that prior to the Pascal fight Chad wasn't really focused and he didn't train as hard as he should've. If I'm not mistaken, I think he was dealing with distractions such as promotional issues during that time. If you're not dedicated to your craft, especially as a boxer, it catches up to you. I think Chavez Jr. is next.

Made a career beating 40 year olds - fights people his own age group and in their primes and gets beaten up.

He was always Bad Chad - just not in the endearing way

Dawson's always been good but overrated a bit. That's what happens now since p4p is used so much to try to evaluate fighters - they get overrated as hell.

Chad Dawson has a poor attitude, he's mentally weak, and like someone said earlier he is just not passionate about boxing. One of the primary reasons his skills have deteriorated is because he switches trainers too much.

Had he stuck with Floyd Sr, he would be undefeated right now. You saw what happened when he switched from Floyd Sr to Eddie Muhammad, he looked significantly worse. But Dawson isn't the type of person who likes to be told what to do, again he has this primadonna attitude that collides with trainers who don't take **** from their boxers. He switched trainers 10 times, unfortunately Chad doesn't realize going from one trainer to another effected his performance.

Chad has the physical skills to be great, but not the discipline or mental toughens to be great. Just proof that boxing is more mental than physical.
