Comments Thread For: Agbeko Brings in "Bomba" Gonzalez For Rigondeaux

Joseph Agbeko (29-4, 22KOs) is bringing in Puerto Rican flyweight Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez (13-1, 11KOs) as a sparring partner for the upcoming fight with WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (12-0, 8KOs), taking place on December at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Agbeko, a former champion and also a big underdog in the match, is making several changes in his training to prepare for the Olympic gold medal winner from Cuba. Agbeko is even training with Roger Mayweather, the uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Seems like everything is on Rigo's side but I would not be one bit surprised if Agbeko pulled something off here.

Really? I think Agbekos best days are somewhat behind him. I would equate Agbeko beating Rigondeaux to Bradley beating Mayweather. Neither is happening.

They're probably behind him and I know I sound crazy and like I said, everything says Rigo SHOULD win but Agbeko style might throw Rigo for a loop. It's just a su****ion on my part. I expect Rigo to win. But have this curiosity about how he handles Agbeko and whether or not Agbeko pulls together a night like Darchinyan did with Donaire.
