That fight would be entertaining, the only question is how long it would take for GGG to break down the big mofo.

Arum didn't want the Martinez fight either if I'm not mistaken, the Chavez family put pressure on him to make it happen because their reputation in Mexico was at stake.

Can you see Vera ever getting a decision against Chavez? Come on son.

Chavez Jr. did twist his arm, but it was right when his contract was going to end.... the perfect time to get what you want.
He's resigned now, so might have a harder time.
If Chavez Jr. fights golovkin and loses, his star power might dwindle a little and hurt Ward's "Now PPV" chances

Jr. is lying. He will never fight GGG. Look at that sparring session, unadulterated ****.

Chavez jr. seems to me, like the kid who's been forced into the family trade. His general reluctance to train, and what seems like a sulky indifference toward the sport. You don't know if an in shape fighter is going to show up, or El Chorizo.

Isn't presumptuous to look past a guy who arguably outboxed you and forced a rematch?

A lot of people counted Vera out the first time and look what he did. I'm sure Vera is training his a$$ off right now and Ronnie Shields is devising a strategy to beat Chavez Jr.

Yea... i'm starting to wonder though.... WTF was up with Chavez in the first fight? He literally did nothing in that fight... reminded me of the Donaire rematch.
Only leads me to believe he put in absolutely no work in for the fight despite getting that gift of a new date for the fight

                  I'm right with you.

If Jr. can't get motivated enough to get into fighting shape to atone for that first Vera fight and win in convincing fashion, he simply doesn't deserve to be even mentioned in talks with GGG or Ward. Period.

Of course, because on fight-night he'd probably be close to 200.
