  • Comments Thread For: Broner-Maidana: Over 10,000 Tickets Already Sold

Showtime and Golden Boy Promotions ends the 2013 boxing season with a ****, as boxing fans are treated to a loaded card on December 14 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The show is headlined by a welterweight showdown between Adrien Broner and Marcos Maidana, and features a stacked undercard filled with fan-friendly fights.

There is plenty of truth in advertising, as local fans have already responded in droves.

“We have configured the Alamodome to seat 35,000. We have already sold 10,000 tickets,” Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer announced during a media conference call Monday afternoon.

Decent but its a great card and tickets are super cheap. I'll be disappointed if it doesnt top 20-25k considering Alvarez/Trout got close to 40,000

Well Alvarez tickets were considerably cheaper (I think a ticket cost 5 bucks)
These are still cheap, like in the 20 dollar range.

              It's good for the fans...

San Antonio is lame for a big fight I get that there is huge Mexican population there but would been better for this fight if it was in the east coast

Good to hear. San antonio is a "fight town". Now hopefully these promoters stop being lame and bring some cards to Chicago already. We draw like 13k for a fnf card. I wanna see a fight live so bad dare I say I would even go see victor ortiz b!!! A$$
