Lets give both fighters credit, especially Taylor. Lets give credit to the promoters for workign hard to get this fight done. And most of all, lets give credit to HBO for putting a PPV quality fight and the number one middleweight fight you can currently imagine on basic HBO. This is wonderful news. It might not be a thrilling fight but now that you don't have to pay 50 smackers for that any complaining on that end is nullified. This could be a great technical fight. I think most are gonna pick Winky to win and I might too but Winky might have issues dealing with the combination of ability and power he hasn't seen too much of. Vargas and Trinidad are both exceptionally powerful punchers with better skills than they are given credit for and while Taylor doesn't have their punch, he is a combo of tech/power that will be new enough to Wright that makes it almost a pick em fight

lol, alright if it happens.. but im making some stipulations. The only thing im worried about at this point is the judges giving Taylor another undeserved decision. As long as they call this one fairly, i'm all over this fight.

TAYLOR VS. WRIGHT ON HBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING THIS JUNE!

Sources close to the situation have informed **********.com that promoters Lou DiBella and Gary Shaw have been looking to secure a venue in Las Vegas, Nevada as the host of one of the best fights in boxing, Jermain Taylor-Winky Wright. Although contracts have yet to be signed, **********.com also understands that HBO deserves some major props for putting up enough money to ensure that the Taylor-Wright middleweight championship take place on World Championship Boxing. Should a deal be finalized in the coming days Taylor's plans to fight in April will be scrapped so he can face Wright in June.

I say Taylor wins this one and his detractors will still complain. They'll keep saying "yeah, but now he has to fight [insert name here] next" until he ****ing retires, and then they'll still be griping about him.

not me... as long as he wins and the judges aren't favoring him.. if he legitimately beats Wright, then he's in the top ten and i can stop listening to the bitching of Taylor fans.. except he won't win, Wright is gonna out-class him all nite..

btw, this is a big 'thumbs-up' to HBO if this ends up on HBO Championship boxing instead of HBO PPV. Good that they realize this doesn't draw the excitement factor to be $50 from most.
