I applaud the Filipino community for not abandoning him after his loss and there is a huge reason why i applaud that. They don't have much in the way of successful and respectful role models to follow unlike us American's who have a litany of people to inspire us but pick horrible people to idolize. Look at Duran after the second Leonard fight his own people tried to kill him! How many of us support Floyd just cause he's black or Oscar/Chavez simply because they are mexicans? Even if I don't agree with some of the stuff the filips say I can understand why they defend him so hard...we could actually learn a thing or two from that in our own personal lives...we build up people here and tear them the ffff down the minute they mess up or fall off.
