    This last quarter has been rough for boxing:


    Jose Carmona needs brain surgery after his KO loss to Arce:

    Colombian featherweight Jose Carmona is in critical but stable condition following two brain surgeries last night after his KO loss to comebacking multi-division world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Doctors say it will be 48 hours before the result of the surgery is known.

    I think these trainers need to do a better job of protecting their fighters. It's sad because these fighters don't want to quit on camera and the only ones that can save them is there corners. Chad Dawson corner wasn't going to save him so he had to speak up and tell the ref I am done I am finish in the fight against Ward.
