I think it's fair to say Andre Berto>>>>>>>Manny Pacquiao....

    as a man....

tragedy struck haiti and Berto cancelled the biggest fight of his career against Shane Mosley....

Pacquiao finds himself in a similar position... fighting a fight of no real significance to his career and yet he had absolutely no thought of cancelling his fight....

    smh....

and pacquiao's supposedly the peoples champ.... bullchit....

Yeah, no real significance except being of huge importance as far as seeing whether he should continue his boxing career, which provides his livelihood, a year after being knocked unconscious after 17 years as a pro fighter.

People respond to tragedy differently. Fighters and fans respond to tragedy differently. I'm sure there are a lot of Filipinos looking forward to Pac/Rios because it will provide a brief escape from this disaster. Sports have provided such an escape many times.

        Terrible thread.

What Berto did was amazing, and showed you there's more to life than just sports. BUT give Manny a god damn break man, hes been making millions in U.S. and giving back to the poor people for his whole career. the modern day robin hood.
He has been giving back years with bags of rice to the poor, and even in the us he was giving away turkeys to the us people of lower class.

And then when a natural disaster hits, people want to attack Pacquiao and let him take the blame for a natural disaster? absurd!! its like when people lying around the house at the keyboard cursing off celebrities why they havent helped or responded by showing a pic on twitter, yet they sitting on their chairs jerking off not doing ****!

Berto cancelled his fight with Shane because he lost family members during the Haiti Earthquake.
